The Audiovisual Archives (AVA) Division in the National Archives of Singapore collects, documents, preserves and disseminates moving images and recorded sound materials of national and historical significance from public offices, broadcasting stations, educational institutions, private organisations and individuals. The collection is named after its source. The records are coded "A" (free viewing/listening access and reproduction) or "B" (free viewing/listening access but restricted reproduction). Researchers who wish to reproduce the "B" records will be advised to write to the respective sources for approval.
Reference copies are made available, upon request and with advance notice (at least 7 working days), for consultation in the Archives Reference Room.
