Peh Seng Thong Collection

This collection consists of private documents dating from 1918 to 1952 and includes a membership booklet and contribution receipts of the Methodist Church, bond certificates issued by the Fujian Province, power of attorney documents appointing Mr Peh Seng Thong as the attorney and a contract document on a joint venture.

Ng Geok Soon Collection

This is a personal collection of memorabilia from the Japanese Occupation, as well as other personal documents from 1939 onwards. In this collection there are statements of account for Electricity from Nippon Hassoden K.K. Syonan-Sibu, various receipts from small Chinese shops, notice of rent payment from Custodian of Property, British Military Administration (BMA); Custodian of Enemy Property for the Municipality of Syonan receipts, Municipal Fund Bills, rate receipts issued by Syonan Tokubetu, draft memorandum and draft of articles of association of the Syonan Paper Kumiai, Chinese Consulate certificates of registration, Chinese cash receipts, declaration forms for lost pawn tickets etc.

Chan Chon Hoe Collection

This personal collection includes vaccination certificates belonging to Mr Chan's family members. Kevin Tan Collection This collection is donated by Dr Kevin Tan Yew Lee. Dr Tan has had a long association with Raffles 02 Scouts. His collection comprises magazines of the Scout Group Queenstown Secondary Technical School (1903; and 1958-1983 Silver Jubilee magazine); Scoutreach Special which is a publication of the Singapore Scout Association 1910 - 1980; The Spirit - 02 Raffles Scout Group Diamond Jubilee Magazine 1922 - 1982 etc. Also included in this collection are photographs relating to scouting events and activities at Raffles Institution, as well as scouts on overseas trips. Chia Chew Soo Collection Mr Chia Chew Soo, a survivor of the Japanese Occupation, donates this collection which features documents and newspaper articles related to his experiences during the Japanese Occupation. Written in both the Chinese and Japanese languages, this collection comprises newspaper cuttings on the Japanese Malay Peninsula Peace Cycle and the Fall of Singapore, articles on evidence of Japanese involvement in massacres during the Second World War, press releases on seminars by Mr Chia in Japan and also a seminar on the experiences of victims during the Japanese Occupation. He has also donated a series of sketches on his memories of the war. David Turner Collection

While stationed in Singapore as a member of the RAF during post-war Singapore under the British Military Administration (BMA), Mr Turner had the opportunity to photograph many interesting scenes of Singapore and the way of life of her people. Many depict places of interest visited by him like the Fort Canning Command House, RAF barracks at Changi, kampongs in Katong , the Chinese Swimming Club, Kallang Airport etc. Also donated are a 1945 aerial map view of Singapore and a booklet entitled a "Pocket Guide to Malaya" (1945).

Loke Wan Tho was the chairman of the Cathay Organisation Limited and was the owner of several tin mines, rubber and coconut estates. Carolyn Russell Collection

This collection comprises an interesting array of photographs of Singapore seen through the eyes of a British living in Singapore in the mid 1950s. Besides more recent photographs of colonial bungalows in Singapore and the present US Embassy, it also has interesting photographic poses of British girls and women taken in the 1950s at the Tanglin Barracks, in the gardens of a colonial bungalow, relaxing by the seaside, etc. Also included are scenes of Singapore in the mid 1950s like Collyer Quay, Change Alley, Tanglin barracks, the Raffles Lighthouse, the York hotel etc.
