The Audiovisual Archives (AVA) Division in the National Archives of Singapore collects, documents, preserves and disseminates film, video and sound recordings of national and historical significance from public offices, broadcasting stations, educational institutions, private organisations and individuals. The collection is named after its source. The records are coded "A" (free viewing/listening access and reproduction) or "B" (free viewing/listening access but restricted reproduction). Researchers who wish to reproduce the "B" records will be advised to write to the respective sources for approval.

The reference copies, in the VHS format for film and video recordings and in audio cassette format for sound recordings, are available for consultation in the Archives Reference Room.

The video "Singapore, My Home" comprises programmes on Singapore and its people. "Anthems of Our Land" tells the story of the nation through the various flags and anthems which Singaporeans have encountered over the years. "Many Races, One Nation" describes how multi-racialism has come to form the corner stone of Singapore’s success and harmony. Also featured are the music video tracks of two popular Singapore songs, "Home" and "Together".
